If you haven’t made plans for this Saturday, you might want to get on it. Because this is the weekend of the summer solstice. The solstice doesn’t just mark the first day of summer, but in fact a worldwide sex-fest. You don’t want to wait on that, do you? Grab your snuggies, your silks, comfy or sexy bedtime wear, and join the celebration.
From maypole dances (phallic, much?) to mass love ceremonies to pagan festivals, people all over the planet are ringing in the longest day of the year in various carnal ways. (It’s no wonder that many children in Sweden are born nine months after the first day of summer, according to CNN.)
If you don’t put much stock in all that, maybe you just like summer because it’s popsicle season.
